SHIATZY CHEN SS17 : A BACKSTAGE STORY
This season, the collection of Mrs Shiatzy Chen is inspired by a visit to the Sagrada Familia, in Barcelona. The designer was very astonished to see the duality between the grandeur of the building, the delicateness of the design and the clouds that she could see through the stained glass windows of the cathedral. This was the starting point of this collection titled « The Cutting Clouds ». Consequently, we can see some geometric silhouettes from the Art Deco style of 1920s. A beautiful journey between East and West, composed of architectural dresses and skirts, 3D jacquard print and draping ruffles. The pieces are declined in virgin white and ink black and also in vermilion red, canary yellow or pastel pink. A captivating journey in a world of intense femininity.
