DELVAUX FALL-WINTER 2015 COLLECTION
By Crash redaction
During Paris Fashion Week this March, Delvaux presented its Fall-Winter 2015-16 collection in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The leather luxury goods House was founded in 1829 by Charles Delvaux in Brussels and is the oldest House of its kind in the world. This season, Delvaux drew its inspiration from architecture while keeping its spirit of innovation, Surrealism influenced by Belgian artists like René Magritte or Paul Delvaux, and of course, extremely refined craftsmanship using fine exotic leathers. The collection features pure graphic lines, clear cuts as well as contrasting elements inspired by Belgian modern architecture. Architecture is no unknown subject for Delvaux, as renowned architects have collaborated with the House in the past – Paule Goethals who designed the Brillant bag in 1958 is just one of many examples. This season, Delvaux developed mini versions of its iconic bags, Le Givry and Le Pin, and offers a more contemporary reinterpretation of Le Brillant. Exclusive leathers such as Galuchat, Astrakan, Alligator, Ostrich or Hairy Calf make this collection highly luxurious, qualitative and diverse. Playing with contrasts, textures and pops of colors, the Delvaux Fall-Winter 2015 collection will surely please both men and women all over the world.
