J.W. ANDERSON RESORT 2016 COLLECTION
By Crash redaction
For this resort 2016 collection, Jonathan Anderson chose to show in Kettle’s Yard in Cambridge, the University of Cambridge’s contemporary art gallery. The perfect setting for a collection which modern aesthetic is true to Anderson’s artistic vision. As always, the shapes were strikingly new. From the front, unbuttoned shirts or dresses showed layers of fabric underneath them while creating the effect of perspective. On floral printed dresses, two whites stripes formed and « X » on the bust, for a very 80’s inspired look. Blue polka dots on a cut-out dress gave the impression the ensemble was treated like a canvas. Jonathan Anderson never disappoints in creating new designs: one can always look twice at them and, each time, find some new, exciting elements.
