After the success of the « Invisibles », awarded with the César of « Best documentary film », french Director Sébastien Lifshitz, launches a new documentary called « Bambi » out on screen today.
Talented director retraces the story of Jean-Pierre who refuses to bear his name since he is a child, asking people around to call him Marie-Pierre. A few years later Marie-Pierre becomes « Bambi » one of the greatest figures of the transexual world by performing on stage at the mythical Parisian cabaret « Carrousel » in the 50’s-60’s.
By collecting a series of touching testimonials, the film helps us to understand the life course of a woman who seeked for her freedom.
