3537 is opening a new exhibition, « PAST BONES PRESENT FLESH FUTURE OMEN » presented by Flávio Juán Núñez and Laurent Tijou from February 3rd to 13th, 2022 at 3537, an exclusive retrospective exhibition of their works never before presented to the public, bringing together ten years of research and exploration through photography, sculptures and performances specially created for this space.

The exhibition is a sensory experience that is experienced through several dimensions : the visit of the exhibition of sculptures and photographs, the publication of the artist’s book edited in a limited edition and the performance of PASSING, on February 11th and 12th, 2022, a piece performed by Flávio Juán Núñez and written by Flávio Juán and Corey Scott-Gilbert.

The meeting between Flávio Juán Núñez and Laurent Tijou took place in 2015 and led to a continuous artistic collaboration and artisanal production of jewelry pieces for the Haute Couture collections of the Maison Jean Paul Gaultier. This dialogue around savoir-faire and traditional crafts has allowed Flávio Juán to establish himself as a master craftsman sculpteur sur cuir. Through the technical prowess born of their collaboration Laurent has been able to develop exceptional pieces for the heritage of the House that have become demonstrations of technical innovations and artisanal transformations.
