DOUG AITKEN PRESENTS ‘STILL LIFE’ AT REGEN PROJECTS IN LOS ANGELES

By Crash redaction

Doug Aitken will be presenting his latest work in an exhibition at Regen Projects in Los Angeles California this fall. From September 6th to October 11th the exposition entitled ‘Still Life’ will feature a variety of mediums from sculpture, publications, sound, photography and both single and multi-channeled video installations, all of which focus on Aitken’s exploration of modern landscapes and his proposed possibilities for the future.

As Aitken prepares to unviel his fourth solo presentation at Regen Projects, he has also prepared an interactive installation of new sculptural objects to be experienced and explored by visitors. Designed to encourage unexpected encounters and a sense of mystery and discovery, guests are able to personally interact, explore, and physically experience Aitken’s artistic vision. The ‘Still Life’ exhibition was created by Aitken to be an immersive environment where guests can experience a space where time seems to dissolve, where “an individual exists adrift”.

Aitken’s work can be found in galleries and museums all over the world, from the infamous Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, Secession in Vienna, to Centre Pompidou in Paris. But if you find yourself in Los Angeles, this is a presentation you wont want to miss.
