BLUMARINE FALL-WINTER 2016: A BACKSTAGE STORY

On Saturday, Anna Molinari presented her Blumarine Fall Winter 2016 collection in Milan. While a few days ago, the Blugirl collection was all flirty and youthful, yesterday’s collection showed a more affirmed, sensual femininity, meant for confident women. The overall silhouette is accentuated at the waist, and while multicolor floral prints still make appearances, the common thread of the collection seems to be the use of fur. It is found at the hem of see-through pastel dresses, or used gloriously on different kinds of coats. At times, the collection channeled the classic silhouette of a Madame Vionnet, and the collection took an ultra-sensual turn with the final looks – a variation of black lace dresses for the more adventurous women.
