UNVEILING LACOSTE OLYMPIC COLLECTION FOR THE 2016 GAMES IN RIO

With a bit less than 100 days to go until the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Lacoste just unveiled the official Olympic collection to be worn by all French athletes during the games. Lacoste is an  official partner of the French National Olympic Committee since 2013 and is truly the best House to represent French elegance in sport with its heritage rooting back to 1933. The outfits imagined by Creative Director Felipe Oliveira Baptista pay hommage to the French symbols, namely the blue, white, and red colors of the flag associated with Lacoste’s emblematic crocodile. The collection consists in four silhouettes: one for the opening and closing ceremonies, another for protocole, and two different ones to be worn inside the Olympic village. The ceremony outfit puts the emphasis on elegance and comfort: A navy blue trench coat will be worn with white cotton trousers and a polo shirt. Protocole outfits are meant to show technicality with zipped-up sweatshirts and fitted training trousers. In order to cheer our athletes up, Lacoste asked the choreographers/directors duo called « I could never be a dancer » to create a short film in the spirit of the Olympic Games. A dynamic dance performance in the streets of Paris follows an innovative soundtrack by The Shoes, transforming the city into a contemporary playground under the colors of France. The collection will be sold exclusively in France as from April, 28th.
