Charismatic figure, the american artist Steven Parrino used to develop  his American Pop/Punk sensibility through his work.

He didn’t hesitate to integrate  icons of the American pop and punk culture  like Marlon Brando, Courtney Love, Joey Ramone.

Recent solo exhibitions of Steven Parrino’s work include  Musee d’Art Moderne et Contemporain in Geneva (2006) and Palais de Tokyo in Paris (2007).

From today and til 25th May, Gagosian Gallery shows his exhibition including  key works of the American artist European counterparts, during two generations :  John Armleder, Martin Barré, Daniel Buren, Simon Hantaï, Olivier Mosset, Michel Parmentier and Niele Toroni.
