A LOOK AT THE NEW CALVIN KLEIN DENIM LINE

By Crash redaction

Calvin Klein wouldn’t be the same without the iconic denim ad campaigns that have followed the house since its beginnings. Brooke Shields comes to mind first, posing in a photo taken by Richard Avedon in 1980. Then we remember Lara Stone in black and white, shot by Mert & Marcus for the #mycalvins fall/winter 2014 campaign. Yes, denim has always had a center part in Calvin Klein for its versatility, ease and American roots.

The new line Calvin Klein Jeans Est.1978 is set to be a continuation of that aesthetic but with a progressive approach, deeply rooted in youth culture. Historical Calvin Klein iconography is juxtaposed and mixed with the modern silhouettes that include unisex fits. Raf Simons manages to bring a fresh take on the house’s heritage, further welcoming a new generation of wearers. Cinematic photos of classic American landscapes are printed all over jeans and shirts and Brooke Shields becomes a pop-art logo scattered on a denim jacket. The collection is available now on the website.
