Who doesn’t love a cinema icon? Marco de Vincenzo has just launched his S/S 2019 shoe campaign and has invited non other than the legendary Rossy de Palma to embody the sensual pieces. One of Almodovar’s muses, she has shined in classic movies like Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios or Kika, gracing the 80s and 90s with her stunning otherworldly look and striking personality. De Vincenzo has actually chosen the Spanish icon to play the role of his aunt Santina who came to visit him in Sicily when he was a young boy. He remembers: « A dazzling sandal worn with sheer black tights. This is what I remember of Aunt Santina, visiting from the US on August 15, who loved coming to Sicily and mixing up things, stealing the spotlight and wearing a bit of America with a touch of her homeland. » That scene is what inspired the shoe which is modeled to perfection by Rossy de Palma who gets dressed seductively in a small dimly lit room. Playing a crackling vinyl of hot cha-cha music, the actress is the perfect representation of strong femininity. The stocking sandal is unexpected and sexy, in black tulle and rhinestones.
