The Area show is always the place to be if you want to get dazzled by thousands of crystals reflecting rainbow lights. For several seasons Piotrek Panszczyk and Beckett Fogg have been bringing the party to the runway with eye-popping shimmery looks that translate so well on camera – and on Instagram where the pair made a name for themselves. This time around, for Spring/Summer 2020, Area got inspired by black culture of the 80s and 90s with layered gold chains, large hoop earrings and sexy bodysuits very reminiscent of hip-hop bling. Nods to Eighteenth century fashion were seen in the futuristic golden crystal panniers with fringes. Gold lamé pants were matched with pistachio suits and the Area logo translated in different languages hugged the leg in a twisted boot.
