Digging into the archives of legendary New York photographer Michael Halsband, Anthony Vaccarello has rediscovered a series of iconic black and white portraits of Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat boxing with each other in Everlast attire. These striking images are a testament of a specific moment in time where two ground-breaking artists of the 80s shared a special connection. The Saint Laurent creative director had the idea to bring these pictures to our present by collaborating with the premium boxing brand Everlast on a selection of retro accessories. The world’s biggest champions have all sported the brand and it is time for high fashion to step into the ring.

The mini collection comprises of a heavy punching bag in high-grade leather, cheek protectors, super-resistant headgear, satin trunks, full-grain leather gloves and hand wraps. You’ll find all the pieces and the photographs at the Saint Laurent Rive Droite store.
