FLASHBACK: LOU DOILLON

By Crash redaction

Just back from an intense tour in Australia to play her latest album ‘Soliloquy’, Lou Doillon decided to record a new EP in a flurry to capture all the raw energy of live performance and the chemical meeting between an artist and her audience. Revealing herself over three folk rock tracks that blends her warm and slightly hoarse voice with guitars and aerial synthesisers, the musician delivered her most intimate project to date.

Shortly after, Covid hit the world with its first round of lockdowns and Lou stepped us as one of the first artists to combat these trying times. Alone with her impressive collection of books, drawing sheets and guitar, she logged on to daily Instagram Live sessions for readings, song covers and simple discussions with her quarantined audience.

We sat down with this unique soul who has graced pop music with a forgotten romanticism. Discover the full interview now in Crash 93 The Electric Issue. Available now at the online Crash store. www.crash.fr
