By Crash redaction

On February 20th evening, Moncler Genius hosted a mesmerizing event during London Fashion Week. In this edition of Genius, the Brand left the way open for all kinds of exploration and innovation. A leap inside different territories and possibilities. Design, entertainment, music, sports and culture; Moncler Genius gave the green light to the most visceral and inclusive art.
Genius’ primary goal since 2018 is to break the classic codes of the fashion world, bringing new talents and collaborations to discovery, showing that the alliance of different worlds and communities can interact and inspire. Giving space to different creative minds, Genius 2023 hosts as many as nine different types of arts accompanied by their respective artists.

The Art of Dreaming by Alicia Keys
Last night Alicia decided to share the stage with London artists Little Simz and Cleo Sol, creating some fun and exciting moments. Her performance is dedicated to the art of dreaming, a concept very much related to New York, the city where she grew up and to which she owes her inspiration.
The artist’s skill as a stylist could also be seen on stage. All of the performers wore pieces from the new Moncler x Alicia Keys collection, heavily inspired by 90s New York style, but with a distinct air of change.

The Art of Terrain by Pharrell Williams
The Moncler x Pharrell Williams collection focuses on the world of camping and outdoor exploration. Technical and functional clothing featuring detachable pockets, removable sleeves, zippers that turn pants into shorts.

The Art of Imagination by Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz’s installation transformed the surrounding space into an environment without time and circo spatial limitations. The artists, who moved around in a low-gravity chamber, were surrounded by images of frozen landscapes accompanied by smoke that filled the room.
PROJECT MONDO G aims to create imagery in which man is projected into a world of infinite possibilities for discovery.

The Art of Lightness by Palm Angels
Boiler Room was commissioned by Palm Angels to create a unique acoustic art installation based on foam. With this installation the Brand wants to celebrate a space that has no limits for individual imagination and expression.
The Moncler x Palm Angels collection, that will be unveiled later this year, focuses and takes inspiration from American vintage objects. A collection of disparate elements that make perfect sense make up the clothes in this collection.

The Art of Love by FRGMT
Hiroshi Fujiwara designed an installation in which a futuristic version of robots « LOVOT » is revealed. The goal of the work is to investigate a futuristic vision of emotional relationships, where the japanese LOVOTs replicates human interactions to entertaining guests as they interacted with the artists.
A fusion of classic and contemporary codes, the Moncler x FRGMT pieces featured houndstooth and digital floral prints on down jackets and vests.

The Art of Exploration by Adidas Originals
Guests got to discover the pieces of the collection through a vertical glacier designed with LEDs.
Gravitating around the concept of exploration, the Moncler x adidas Originals collection takes the wearer on a journey blending past and future. Originally created for more extreme weather conditions, the collection now transforms into something more suitable for the city.

The Art of Elements by Salehe Bembury
With a promising career ahead in the world of fashion, the footwear brand decided to showcase its vision through an installation of a giant rock rotating on itself, enhanced by his signature grained pattern. A  veritable metaphor for nature that invites the exploration of the relationship between the human and its environment.
The Moncler x Salehe Bembury collection reinterprets the adventurer’s wardrobe with originality and alongside his multi-layered ready-to-wear line, Salehe Bembury also presented his revisited version of the iconic Tailgrip sneaker by Moncler.

The Art of All de Roc Nation by JAY-Z
During the evening Mike Dean, Jay Z’s longtime producer, recorded the guests’ voices, mastering them, then, into one work. « The Sound of All » an exciting work that also encapsulates the spirit of collaboration that Genius wants to launch.
The Moncler x Roc Nation by JAY-Z collection focuses on the concept of mixing and matching unique pieces that together still manage to form a melody.

The Art of Design by Rick Owens
Rick Owens’ creative vision is expressed in a minimalist installation where guests could experience temperature-controlled Sleep Capsules. A rigid structure on the outside but comfortable on the inside where guests could try to release their different emotions, surrounded by a chaotic and unusual atmosphere.
The Moncler + Rick Owens collection echoes solemn, slender silhouettes and quilting effects in a black and yellow tie dye palette. The line consists of aviator jackets, down jackets, extra-long coats, skirts, shorts and tops.
