Jérémie Cosimi, a multidisciplinary and self-taught artist based in Marseille, focuses on her paintings and drawings that establish a dialogue with antiquity and contemporaneity by revealing the timelessness of what unites them. Starting from a rooted Mediterranean culture, Cosimi imagines a mythology made of icons and pagan rites. 

For Art Brussels, Jérémie Cosimi brings statues back to life with « The Odysseys, » an installation that looks at how the past interacts or could have interacted with the present. Her works are a testimony to something that existed and something that is fiction, past and present. Always starring his relatives, displayed as so many figures in his current and contemporary mythologies, with references to Roman frescoes and other millennial objects.
