Valentino Menswear decides to redefine its roots by announcing Valentino The Narratives, a men’s fashion show to be held on June 16, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the Università degli Studi di Milano Statale in the city of Milan.

Valentino continues to show itself inclined to support local communities and especially support for the younger generation by always encouraging study and artistic talent.
The choice to present the collection on the opening day of Milan Fashion Week, a day when Milan State University will be full of students, is an invitation to open up with young people. Maison Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli reconfirms his spirit of innovation, with the constant goal of inspiring and stimulating the new generations.

For Valentino, the city of Milan is an important city full of history; it was in Milan that Valentino Garavani presented his first men’s fashion show in January 1985. The decision to give a men’s collection its own moment certainly elevated the category while tying Valentino’s nascent men’s fashion codes to the city of Milan. Valentino’s connection to Milan is not limited to the past. The City has hosted, in the last years of closure due from Covid, Valentino Collezione Milano and Valentino Act Collection. In two very different locations, each exhibition has offered Pierpaolo Piccioli a space for creative expression and an opportunity for his creative community to come together, regardless of their distance.

For this season, the fashion house decided to move away from its classic co-ed runway model, increasingly elevating menswear by making it a protagonist.
The growing importance of Valentino Menswear has been confirmed over the seasons. For the Unboxing Valentino collection, the Maison launched Maison Valentino Essentials, a selection of men’s essentials that is not limited to classic rules and boundaries, but rather elevates to something more open and free.

The Valentino The Narratives men’s fashion show will be presented during Milan Fashion Week and will be broadcast live on Valentino.com and on the Maison’s social networks.
