Dawei Spring/Summer collection 2024 combines elements from the classical and romantic 1940s and 1950s with the relaxed sophistication of the 1980s.

The show opens with a delicate soft pink hue, setting the tone for what’s to come. The garments on display feature pleats that move with a rhythmic precision, reminiscent of an organ’s pipes. The bottom hems spread out gracefully like a fan, while the skirts bloom like the petals of a flower. This harmonious blend of elements creates a classical and romantic aura that captivates the audience.
As the soft pink fades, a transition to shades of blue and green begins. These colors, in varying hues, intertwine elegantly on fabrics made of cotton and viscose. Frilled jackets and bud dresses are adorned with these subtle color gradients, evoking the style of the 1940s and 1950s, when fashion was at its zenith.  Amidst the grandeur of opening and closing motifs, a gentle interlude takes place with the introduction of gambiered Guangzhou silk. This fabric, a treasure from the Orient, adds a layer of depth to the collection. The silk’s subtle texture, hidden beneath a soil-dark fabric, resembles the growth rings of a tree.
