STONE ISLAND X DOVER STREET MARKET

By Martina Conte

The fashion world is about to witness a new milestone in style with the launch of the Stone Island x Dover Street Market collection. This collaboration between two iconic fashion names promises a range of unique clothing that combines contemporary aesthetics and functionality for the winter. With a lineup of 20 entirely black pieces and a monochromatic aesthetic, this special capsule is set to captivate fashion enthusiasts worldwide.

The Dover Street Market serigraphic print, carefully placed under the iconic Stone Island patch, embodies the alliance between these prestigious brands. This exclusive collection focuses on functionality and protection for the upcoming winter months, offering fashion aficionados stylish and warm options to brave the elements. The standout pieces of this collection are the coats, designed to withstand the winter’s rigors. Three distinct silhouettes are offered, each cut from David-TC Down, a fabric that’s emblematic of Stone Island’s innovative research. The coat, padded with an inner layer of PrimaLoft® P.U.R.ETM, promises ultimate warmth, while the car coat, with its finely padded removable lining, offers versatility and style. A short hooded parka filled with top-quality feathers completes this coat range.

The collection also includes two overshirts made from brushed organic cotton canvas, dyed in the mass with the « OLD » treatment. For those seeking comfort and warmth, seven wool knit pieces are available, including a crewneck and a hooded lamb’s wool cardigan. For a more casual look, elastic cotton gabardine cargo pants are also offered. The Stone Island Ghost collection offers sleek monochrome style with entirely black pieces adorned with the Stone Island badge. A long O-Ventile parka features a detachable high collar hood and a removable down lining, providing unparalleled comfort and protection against the elements. An O-Ventile hooded jacket is also available, with cleverly integrated pockets under a horizontal front seam. The range also includes a cotton and wool gabardine jacket, an O-Ventile cargo pant, and a double-weave cotton and wool fatigue pant. The collection concludes with two knit pieces, a crewneck, and a cardigan, perfect for adding a touch of sophistication to your winter wardrobe.

The collection will be launched at Dover Street Market London on Thursday, October 12th, to coincide with Frieze London 2023, the global art fair for which Stone Island is an official partner. A special in-store installation will feature an impressive army of black statues to highlight this unique collaboration.

The collection will also be available at Dover Street Market Ginza from Saturday, October 14th, with an installation showcasing Pure Metal Shell archive jackets in the store’s iconic Elephant Space. This installation celebrates Hannibal’s crossing of the Alps and features nineteen Pure Metal Shell pieces from the autumn/winter ’99 collection, including one in bronze and eighteen in stainless steel. These two installations mark Stone Island’s first presence at Dover Street Market, creating a must-visit event for fashion enthusiasts worldwide.
