SABATO DE SARNO REDEFINE ELEGANCE ON HIS FIRST GUCCI MENSWEAR FW24 COLLECTION

By Aicha NDIAYE

Sabato De Sarno presented this Friday, his first Gucci Menswear Fall Winter 24 Collection, at the historic Fonderia Carlo Macchi in Milan. Just like his first Womenswear’s Collection at Gucci, a new wardrobe now extends to the man and imposes the Ancora signature.

The Napolitan designer rewrites the essential pieces of the wardrobe, highlighting the quality, craftsmanship and icons of the House, with contemporary silhouettes, refined, and a slight touch of subtlety.

Gucci’s Fall Winter 24 Collection embraces long oversized coats, and suits in soft colors such as pale pink, sandy tones, and navy blue, offering a fresh, elegant and comfortable take on winter fashion. This collection is also characterized by the iconic Jackie bag, this time taking center stage on male models. Once popularized by the American fashion icon Jackie Kennedy, the patent leather accessory, now in an oversized format, becomes a must-have item for the season.

The designer also breathes new life into the traditional tie, replacing it with a delicate and refined scarf draped around the neck, intertwined with chain link and available in a spectrum of colors.

While maintaining a discreet presence, Gucci’s monogram is subtly woven into the designer’s vision, making appearances on select full looks. Only a few touches of extravagance, especially with high-cut tank tops or rhinestone pants, come to overcome several pieces of this collection.

This collection marks a momentous step in redefining the male wardrobe under the Ancora signature. It also reaffirms Gucci’s ability to evolve and captivate with each new chapter. The melding between tradition and modernity,  makes this collection a real testament to the brand’s heritage.
