BACKSTAGE AT MARINE SERRE Fall – Winter 24 Fashion Show

By Aicha NDIAYE

Marine Serre presented her Fall-Winter 24 Collection this monday, at Paris Fashion Week.

The show took place at Ground Control in Paris, a dynamic venue that embodies cultural, social, and environmental values, serving as a testament to Serre’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.

As guests entered the venue, they were transported into a twilight zone where smoke on the floor and suspended spheres of light reminiscent of lunar cycles illuminated the space, creating an ethereal atmosphere that echoed Serre’s collection.

The runway showcased 43 looks that traversed different times and spaces, reflecting the brand’s hybrid approach to design. From black transparent ensembles adorned with the All Over Moon pattern to chic workwear paired with python accents.

One of the highlights of the show was the introduction of timeless tailoring in the form of Moon Diamant looks, which added a touch of sophistication to the collection. Couture pieces, including a morpho-fitted catsuit and a cinematic ensemble crafted from upcycled silk scarves.

Throughout the show, the casting reflected Serre’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity, with models of various ethnicity, ages and cultural backgrounds crossing paths in front of iconic brand installations on this occasion like the Effet de Serre flower shop and the Marine Serre record store.

Marine Serre’s Fall-Winter 24 Fashion Show was a testament to the brand’s ability to transcend the boundaries of fashion. By creating an immersive experience that captivated the audience and left a lasting impression. It also reinforced her bold vision and unwavering dedication to sustainability, inclusivity, and innovation.
