AzzeroCO2, founded by Legambiente and Kyoto Club in 2004, is a sustainability consultancy dedicated to helping companies develop projects that reduce their environmental impact. This foster home provides crucial support to women and children in need and assists migrants and refugees on their path to integration.

The centuries-old pine forest in Falcognana has been under threat from an infective parasite. Fendi’s initiative focuses on healing the infected pines while restoring flora diversity in the area. The project includes planting 14 holm oak trees and a mix of 180 other native plant species. This carefully curated selection is intended to re-establish and enhance local biodiversity, transforming the area into a botanical garden that contributes to community welfare. 

La Nuova Arca’s involvement adds a significant social dimension to the project. The new outdoor spaces are designed as ecological and educational tools for the residents of the cooperative’s family home. These residents will actively participate in the upkeep of the new flora, integrating these activities into the educational programs fostered within the community.

Fendi’s partnership with La Nuova Arca and AzzeroCO2, which will span two years, represents a significant step towards environmental conservation and community engagement. As part of this dynamic urban biodiversity initiative, Fendi will involve its employees through volunteer activities, including an event on International Earth Day.

This collaboration reflects Fendi’s commitment to not only preserving the environment but also enhancing the social fabric of the communities in which it operates. By restoring the pine forest in Falcognana, Fendi, AzzeroCO2, and La Nuova Arca are making a meaningful contribution to both biodiversity and community well-being.
