Walter Van Beirendonck envisions the future, and his SS25 Collection captures that vision. In today’s world, everything seems to be characterized by extreme drama. Amidst all the chaos, we must strive to find our own happiness. Embracing the concept of make-believe and the belief that our actions can make a meaningful impact, Walter Van Beirendonck drew inspiration from the world of the clown. The familiar paradoxical figure, both joyful and melancholic, serves as a symbol of unifying the conflicting elements of the circus. Drawing from the likes of Charlie Chaplin and the image of a small top paired with a large bottom, his collection seeks to embody this spirit.

In this line-up of 40 models showcasing the WVB namesake pieces, there’s an exclusive sneak peek of the G-Star Raw x Walter Van Beirendonck SS2025 capsule collection called Denim with Balls. Through their collaboration, they’ve innovatively designed these pieces without using traditional stitching. Instead, they’ve bonded the clothes using glue and accented them with red taping. The limited edition 19-piece collection boasts daring styles such as the Square Jeans, Wader Jeans, Embossed Pamphlet Jeans, and Future Proof Jacket, all featuring embossed dots, taped seams, and exaggerated details. Additionally, the capsule incorporates 3D-knitted tops and sweaters featuring WVB signature slogans ‘Future Proof’, ‘Wow’, and ‘Stitch less’. The playful concept of ‘Denim with Balls’ is highlighted throughout the collection using embossed dots.

Stitchless items include WVB’s Alcantara puzzle pieces. Coats ending in circles or arrows that can be left open or be cleverly slid inside slashes, giving you a moving cape feeling. From fabric, they make a series of tops, vests, and bombers that all have that technically connected, constructional feel. Pairing with bulky 360-pleated WVB pants and shorts for ultimate pleasure aesthetics. The collection is colourful, geometric, and textural. This jester is a maximalist – one shape, colour, or print is not enough, he must try them all and finish them off with a party hat.
