AMC UNVEIL SPRING-SUMMER ’25 MENSWEAR COLLECTION

By Chloe Edstein

Aldo Maria Camillo envisioned a capsule collection for their Spring-Summer ’25 Menswear collection that merges the craftsmanship of tailoring with a highly lightweight technical material, offering protection akin to « skin » and effectively guarding against rain and wind, while maintaining a sustainable impact.

Through extensive research and prototype testing, Aldo Maria Camillo discovered an ultra-lightweight regenerated polyester made from recycled plastic materials, such as plastic bottles. This fabric marks a new advancement in textile technology and sustainable luxury. In an era where true luxury equates to sustainability, the designer delved deeper into this realm.

The entire capsule is crafted from this remarkable Italian material and produced in factories in southern Italy. The collection, featuring iconic pieces from the men’s wardrobe, embodies the fusion of innovation, performance, elegance, and modernity.

Relaxed double-breasted suit jackets are paired with high-waisted wide-leg pants, cropped windbreakers, and loose work shirts are combined with tailored Bermuda shorts and lightweight washed cashmere tank tops. The concept is to blend contrasting materials on the skin, such as technical fabric and natural washed cashmere, achieving a tactile and conceptual harmony. The colour palette spans from charcoal black to military green, aviator blue, and scarlet.
