Anonymous Club presented ‘FREUDIAN GLITCH: FANTASIA 2024’ at Tempodrom during Berlin fashion week. Shayne Olivier’s collection builds on his earlier experiments with jersey, terry and rubber wear. Additionally, a brand-new line of printables present the designers exploration of classic streetwear from New York.

The collection explores dreams and the contrast between one’s aspirations and their current reality. Dreaming represents a transitional theme, highlighted in Freud’s psychoanalytic theories as a space where the subconscious reveals deeper truths. These concepts are evident in Oliver’s runway show, featuring draping and colorways inspired by the designer’s fascination with Walt Disney, combined with the use of latex materials that convey an extreme and dark aesthetic. This seemingly contradictory mix works in harmony.

The collection’s printed graphics, such as the dunce baby and “TART” designs on t-shirts, further emphasize this tension.
