ECKHAUS LATTA SPRING-SUMMER 2025: AN INTIMATE DINNER AND A SHOW

By Temoso Mohuba

Eckhaus Latta took a unique approach to unveiling their Spring-Summer 2025 collection. On September 9, 2024, the American fashion label hosted a dinner in New York with the aim of creating an intimate atmosphere. At the core of the dinner experience was a show wherein the collection was modeled, as well as many archive pieces of the brand – sourced from the resale marketplace, Depop. Additionally, there were performances by comedian Kate Berlant and singer Loren Kramar.

The models included known public figures and artists such as Moses Sumney, Ella Emhoff, Liana Satenstein, and more. The core of the showcasing was the archive styling of pieces sourced from Depop, which is partnering with the label for an exclusive drop this fall. Many of the guests attending the dinner were styled in archive pieces from Depop, further highlighting the reusable/sustainable fashion nature of the experience.

An array of signature cocktails was created by mixologist, Arley Marks, who operates 102 Franklin where the dinner was hosted alongside the dinner produced by Erica Sarlo & Company, with a menu by Momofuku. One of the cocktails was titled “El Highball”, while some menu items included spicy cucumbers, XL noodles and bo ssäm.

The dinner experience displayed the essence of community and an alternative manner to showcase a new collection, with guests who align with the label’s values. The skincare brand, Youth to the People, contributed products to give away to guests, as well as the cannabis dispensary and lifestyle store, Gotham.  The collaboration with Depop is one that reflects the label’s ethos and will appeal to consumers of the brand. The exclusive Eckhaus Latta shop on Depop will be launching this fall.
