ANN DEMEULEMEESTER’S SECOND EDITION OF KIDS: A CELEBRATION OF NEW YORK’S UNDERGROUND ART SCENE

By Crash Redaction

Following the success of its first chapter, Ann Demeulemeester has announced the release of the second edition of KIDS, a cultural project curated by creative director Stefano Gallici. This new chapter delves into the rich underground art and culture of New York City, capturing its vibrant and diverse artistic community.

The project is a tribute to the city’s spirit of creativity, showcasing the essence of community and artistic collaboration. Reflecting on his experience, Gallici describes his time in New York as a journey of self-discovery, intertwined with forming new connections with artists and creatives.

The second edition of KIDS was shot over the course of a week in both iconic and hidden corners of the city, with photography by Jason Renaud and Gallici himself. Together, they captured raw, intimate moments that offer a glimpse into the city’s thriving creative heart.

Building on the foundations of previous editions in London, Paris, and Berlin, the New York chapter features a unique array of talents, including musician Stella Rose Gahan, actor Quintessa Swindell, designer Jakob Hetzer, model Dakota Butler, and painter Hunter Amos. These individuals represent the dynamic artistic pulse of New York, contributing their voices to KIDS‘ ongoing narrative that fuses fashion, art, and culture.

With this second edition, KIDS continues to celebrate diversity and the power of collective creativity, with future chapters poised to explore even more of the world’s dynamic cultural scenes.
