RÔLES MODÈLES AT HÔTEL LA LOUISIANE

By Max Mendel

For the iconic Hôtel La Louisiane, photographer Mathilde Marc has immortalized the presence of artists within its storied walls, including Gabrielle Lazure, Eva Ionesco, and Elli Medeiros.

Mathilde Marc presents her latest portrait series, Rôles Modèles, celebrating established female artists captured in their natural beauty and vitality, without the use of artificial embellishments. More than twenty portraits of these inspiring figures, such as Ariane Ascaride, Marianne Basler, Christine Citti, Fejria Dliba, Léa Drucker, Maria de Medeiros, Marie Desgranges, Nathalie Duong, and Françoise Fabian, will be showcased. Mathilde Marc defines a “rôle modèle” as someone whose journey or body of work allows others, particularly younger generations, to identify with or draw inspiration from. The exhibition will also feature roundtable discussions and is free and open to the public.
