HELIOT EMIL SPRING/SUMMER 2025 COLLECTION: A FUSION BETWEEN NATURE AND ARTIFICIALITY

By Aicha NDIAYE

Heliot Emil presented this Thursday,  its Spring/Summer 2025 collection during Paris Fashion Week. The collection draws inspiration from Iceland’s rugged landscapes, merging natural textures with futuristic design. Reflecting the raw beauty of volcanic landscapes, the collection’s palette features volcanic black, stone grays, and glacier whites. These elements manifest in layered, textured fabrics that echo rivers and stones, creating a striking contrast between the brand’s technical expertise and organic, fluid shapes.

This season, the Danish fashion  brand emphasizes minimalism, with black-on-black styling enhanced by curvy lines and draped panels, evoking the smooth folds of lava. Accessories took a geological approach, with molten chrome and undulating carabiners complementing the fluid designs. The softer side of the collection included terry-like materials and loose-knit yarn for summer wear.

Futuristic elements also shone through, with cooling vents, multi-directional belts, and translucent panels evoking a sci-fi aesthetic, reminiscent of Dune. The collection’s puffer jackets were optimized for warmer weather with innovative quilting techniques, while windbreakers featured overlapping webs of opaque and translucent fabrics, mimicking natural forms.

At the center of the runway was a striking electrochromic glass installation by Encor studio, highlighting the tension between the natural and artificial. Wearable glass sculptures extended this theme, worn by models throughout the show.

Heliot Emil Spring/Summer 2025 collection also unveiled two key collaborations: a monochromatic capsule with Puma, blending utilitarian design with outdoor sportswear, and a line with Staccato featuring sculptural footwear and accessories. Heliot Emil continues to explore the balance between industrial elegance, form, and function in this visually captivating collection.
