MONCLER UNVEILED « THE CITY OF GENIUS »: A CELEBRATION OF GLOBAL CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION

Moncler transformed Shanghai into « The City of Genius ». This visionary event, hosted in a 30,000 square-meter space, celebrated global creativity. Inspired by a study showing 98% of 5-year-olds demonstrate creative genius, compared to only 2% of adults, the event sought to reignite this innate creativity. Shanghai’s rich cultural energy merged with Moncler’s heritage to push the boundaries of fashion, art, and design.

Held at the historic CSSC Pavilion along the Huangpu River, the event attracted 8,000 guests and over 57 million livestream viewers. Ten designer neighborhoods showcased Moncler Genius collections, created by visionaries from fashion, music, art, and technology. Notable attendees included Xu Bing, Naomi Campbell, Anne Hathaway, and A$AP Rocky, all engaging with the unique creative displays.

Xu Bing’s installation, centered on reimagined language art, was a standout. Captured in a manifesto film by Wing Shya and starring Leah Dou, his work symbolized the event’s theme of co-creation. Traditional and modern creativity intertwined, connecting Chinese and global cultures through art, film, and music.

The event culminated in a live performance by Henry Lau and a stunning fusion of Chinese opera and pop by Chen Lijun. Moncler’s 2024 Genius collections were revealed, solidifying the event as a defining moment in fashion and creativity.
