Louis Vuitton announces its induction into the America’s Cup Hall of Fame, marked by the presentation of the prestigious Sir Richard Francis Sutton Medal. This distinguished honor recognizes entities that embody the spirit of sportsmanship integral to the America’s Cup since its inception. The Sir Richard Francis Sutton Medal, named after the 19th-century Royal Yacht Squadron sailor, celebrates those who reflect the same values of perseverance, innovation, and excellence that define this historic race.

In a heartfelt message screened at the award ceremony, Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, expressed his pride: “I am very honoured, humbled and proud to receive the Sutton Medal in the name of Louis Vuitton and personally. We are proud to have accompanied the history of this legendary trophy, sharing the same values as the America’s Cup: the ambition to surpass oneself and the continuous quest for innovation.” This sentiment underscores the long-standing partnership between Louis Vuitton and the America’s Cup, which began in 1983, when two institutions born of the same era joined forces.

The legacy of this partnership was highlighted by the INEOS Britannia Team’s victory in the Louis Vuitton Cup, marking a pivotal moment in this edition’s journey. The Louis Vuitton Cup concluded with the INEOS Britannia Team claiming victory, overcoming fierce competition from other teams. The prestigious Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk, meticulously crafted in the House’s Asnières workshops, served as a symbolic vessel for the coveted prize, embodying the brand’s dedication to craftsmanship while reflecting the values of the competition.

Louis Vuitton’s induction into the America’s Cup Hall of Fame and the receipt of the Sir Richard Francis Sutton Medal further cements its legacy within this storied event. This honor acknowledges the French luxury house’s historical contributions and sets the stage for a future filled with creativity, innovation, and adventure, continuing to redefine the boundaries of both sport and luxury.
