A TRIBUTE DU ANDRÉ COURRÈGES: TANYA DYAGILEVA FOR CRASH
Last week, the world learnt the passing of the great André Courrèges. The iconic French designer shaped the aesthetic of the Sixties with his technological approach to fashion and his lunar vision. Ahead of his time, André Courrèges never stop experimenting with ground-breaking shapes and acid colors, and became one of the most respected artists of his time, still influencing creatives today. Courrèges completely reinvented ready-to-wear as people knew it, and he injected it with a great dose of futurism. Shot by Frank Perrin and styled by Armelle Leturcq, our special Courrèges editorial captures the essence of the space girl with trop model Tanya Dyagileva, embodying the Fall-Winter 2011-12 collection. In a hostile, mineral, lunar, and lively environment, she embodies the fearlessness of the House of Courrèges. The world may have lost one of its greatest creatives, but his influence lives on.
