ACNE STUDIOS’ new collection is a celebration of growth and evolution. The fashion show set, designed and created by Shona Heath, is an enchanted forest filled with roots that climb into the environment, creating a brutal yet unique and fairytale-like atmosphere.
Models emerge from the darkness accompanied by the sound of a special live performance by the avant-garde electronic composer Sarahsson. The contrast between the hectic everyday life immersed in the city is contrasted and compared with nature, untouched by man.
The colors in the palette of this collection are reminiscent of the setting of the fashion show, shades of green and brown that refer directly to leaves and roots. The very different silhouettes alternate between dresses that hug bodies to more oversized ones that fill the surroundings. There is no shortage of accessories in the collection, which can be defined as ornaments; soda cans become earrings, ring-pulls and bottle tops crown chain necklaces, rings and cuffs made out of empty rubes of paint. Also the show’s distressed-leather bag style, the Multipocket, a shoulder bag whose shape references tool belts and vintage camera bags is shown on the runway.
