Jonny Johansson presents his Acne Studios Men’s SS16 collection in Paris
The Acne Studios Men’s SS16 collection was presented on Saturday, June 27 in Paris. This season, Jonny Johansson was inspired by his love for the 70’s American band, the New York Dolls, who gave him his raw and unisex approach to designing. Indeed, there is something rock’n’roll and quite retro to this collection, from the hair styling to the edgy cuts of the jackets and long, tight jumpers. Jumpsuits in poplin silk come with abstract graphic surfboard prints by Robin Kegel, while shorts are worn with a under-the-knee-long burgundy coat. Not to forget the platform boots in leather or suede and the hybrid bags between satchels and sacks. As always, expect the unexpected, and that’s was we love about Acne Studio.
