ADIDAS ATHLETES ARE RAISING MONEY FOR FRENCH HOSPITALS

By Crash

French Adidas athletes are coming together to set up the « Athletes and Solidarity » auction to raise funds for the Hôpitaux de Paris – Hôpitaux de France foundation. A large number of athletes from the Adidas family are invited to put up for sale one or more of the company’s three-striped products accumulated during their career (jerseys, shoes and accessories). These products will be signed and sold in an online auction. The funds raised will be entirely donated to the Hôpitaux de Paris – Hôpitaux de France foundation, in order to help the French hospital community in its fight against the COVID-19 crisis.

Vincent Gérard, goalkeeper of the French Handball team, who initiated this initiative, said: « I took advantage of the confinement to tidy up my apartment. I found a lot of clothes and shoes that brought me luck in my career. I told myself that if I sold these symbolic objects for the benefit of others, I could help the hospital environment, which is more than ever in need of support and encouragement at this time. »

These products have been on sale since yesterday on an auction website in collaboration with the famous auction house Drouot.
