Adidas by Raf Simons’ 5th collection now available

For his fifth season collaborating with Adidas, Raf Simons was inspired by the journey of an astronaut into space. More precisely, the designer found inspiration in the astronaut’s costume and its vintage connotations. Several iconic Adidas models are revisited. First the Stan Smith is given a fresh turn with new colors – purple, yellow, and green – and new fabric treatments: in shades of white and sand, the leather is reworked in four different ways to give it a washed-out, used aspect. As for the Response Trail II, it is to be found in either black or white, with the little extra of having interchangeable elements for a color-blocking effect. New this season, the Response Trail Robot and the Ozweego Robot take direct inspiration from the detailing on astronauts’ uniforms with the use of shiny materials contrasting with used fabrics.

The Adidas by Raf Simons collection will be available as from mid-July in selected stores with a pricing between €280 and €450.
