ArdAzAei unveiled their sophomore couture collection, « The Diffraction of Light, » at the esteemed Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris on July 4, 2023. This showcase celebrated the interplay of light on fabric, showcasing custom-developed textiles that gracefully enveloped silhouettes inspired by the elegance of gemstones and the mesmerizing patterns created by illuminating them.

Sheer and weightless fabrics were artfully employed, revealing the craftsmanship that lay beneath their delicate surfaces.

The collaboration between ArdAzAei, folding artist Joan Sallas, and pleating specialists Les Ateliers Lognon birthed the enchanting « Polaris » dress. Woven from fine silk and semi-sheer metallic lurex, its three-dimensional pleats formed the iconic ArdAzAei emblem, mirroring the dance of light through a gemstone.

Geometry played a captivating role throughout the collection. The mesmerizing « Vega » dress drew inspiration from an ornamental ceiling in Yazd, featuring exquisite plissé, appliqué, and intricate embroidery with beads, sequins, and silver threads.

Balancing asymmetrical lines with soft draping, the ethereal « June » evening dress floated effortlessly with layers of silk chiffon, organza, and shimmering silver lurex. Over 850 hours and 200 meters of silk were dedicated to creating its sumptuous volume. The collection also introduced a supple, vegetable-tanned Swedish reindeer leather, meticulously crafted to swirl and drape gracefully around the body.

ArdAzAei’s couture collection, « The Luminous Symphony, » showcased their unrivaled craftsmanship and boundless creativity, solidifying their status as a house to look out for.
