The Azzaro house has just announced some exciting news! The Belgian-French designer Olivier Theyskens has been named artistic director, taking over the couture collections, as well as the ready-to-wear and accessories for women and men. All of Theyskens’ fans had been pleasantly surprised when the designer relaunched his eponymous brand in 2016 and now they’re going to see a lot more of him as he is taking on this new project. His first collection for Azzaro will be presented in July of 2020 in Paris. The designer stated: « The legacy left by Loris Azzaro is considerable and very inspiring. I am impatient, happy and honored to be able to bring my vision to this mythical and iconoclastic house for whom freedom and hedonism remain founding values that are as relevant today as ever. I wish to inscribe my collections in this atypical universe while instilling my own sensibility. » We’ll just have to wait and see what the future holds for Azzaro in the expert hands of Olivier Theyskens.
