AQUILANO RIMONDI SS16: A BACKSTAGE LOOK
Tommaso Aquilano and Roberto Rimondi are all about pure, understated sophistication. Their Spring-Summer 2016 collection shown during Milan Fashion Week is the exact representation of their vision. Focused on producing a qualitative garments, the designers show silhouettes that are freed from any distracting element. We often say that fashion is a way to express oneself. This is especially true for Aquilano.Rimondi, who offer a wardrobe that underlines any woman’s personality by respecting both her features and deep identity. That is why this Spring-Summer collection feels very contemporary. Floral prints inspired by Andy Warhol’s Factory and reinterpreted checked patterns add a graphic dimension, while the fluidity of the white silhouettes show an exquisite sense of lightness. Embroideries are also a great part of the collection and showcase Italy’s incredible know-how. For the first time, the designer’s duo introduces bags on the runway. The « BAG-A.R. » made in Italian leather will certainly be an object of desire for next season.
