CRAIG GREEN FALL-WINTER 2016: A BACKSTAGE STORY
Experiencing a Craig Green collection always puts the meaning of fashion into perspective. The young British designer has his way of transforming a runway presentation into an impactful statement, which he manages to bring out through the clothes only, leaving any incidental fuss behind. And Green has a lot to express, his previous collections being the token of his introspective thought process. This season, the show opened on a grey suit with straps attached to the arm, waist, and neck, with a hood that was tightened up so it was covering half the model’s face. It felt very much like a cocoon, like something that would protect its wearer from the outer world. There it was, the essence of the collection; from the covering silhouettes to the deconstructed and unbuttoned asymmetrical pieces, Craig Green puts his fashion in question with our troubled times.
