BACKSTAGE AT CRAIG GREEN SPRING-SUMMER 2016 LONDON
By Crash redaction
One of the first shows of the Spring-Summer 2016 menswear season, Craig Green presented his collection at the Victoria House in front of an audience eager to discover how the young designer would manage to surprise them once again with his cerebral, poetic fashion. It was a more exuberant collection that was shown, and the vivid colors – yellow, green, and orange – clashed with the black and white looks. There was an exaggerated sense of detail, namely the accentuation of the models’ chests with two round cut-outs on destructured knits from which long layers of black or white fabric fell down to the floor. Contrasting belts shaped the garments into kimono-like clothing. Craig Green’s Spring-Summer 2016 collection is definitely neo-romantic and opens an endless range of possibilities.
