BACKSTAGE AT DKNY SPRING-SUMMER 2017 NEW YORK
By Crash redaction
DKNY SS17: A BACKSTAGE STORY
This season, newly appointed DKNY creative directors Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne presented a collection that felt very athletic. They showed mainly monochrome silhouettes (in shades of blue, peach, black or white) with a taste for loose fits and extra-long sleeves. Here and there, fabrics are torn and reveal some skin. Sleek hair and a dark red lip give the model a strong look that goes with the pinstripe tailoring imbued with an athletic edge. Parachute fabrics towards the end of the show enhance that sportswear aesthetic, especially when worn with thigh-high platform sneakers.
