ELIE SAAB FALL WINTER 2016: A BACKSTAGE STORY

The Elie Saab Fall Winter 2016 collection is at its core an hymn to the freedom of creation and to the bohemian spirit. Textures are rich and balance between black silhouettes and embroidered colorful dresses. Fringed skirts, dresses, and jackets are found in silk or leather and are meant for daywear. Brocades and embellishments have that gipsy aesthetic, and such detailing is to be found on great evening gowns as well. Colorful beads on many of the pieces are a collection stand-out and add another layer to the collection. As always with Elie Saab, the collection is primarily feminine. This season though, it has that extra rock’n’roll vibe that is so refreshing.
