ERMANNO SCERVINO FALL WINTER 2016 MILAN : A BACKSTAGE STORY
For his Fall-Winter 2016 collection, Ermanno Scervino praises femininity. With a classic color palette made of off-white, black and shades of gray, the Scervino woman is sophisticated yet glamourous. For the day-to-day she wears fitted tailored suits, wearing underneath laced shirts, made more feminine by shimmery buttons and revers collars that enhance women’s forms. For the promenade, the outerwear is made of fur and tweed: mink collars, stoles and sleeves and hoodies decorations give an elegant and wintery touch to classic burgundy and off-white fitted coat, reminding us of Russian atmospheres. Leopard animalier silk jacquard trenches, paired with yellow and black fur collars, are the most glamorous pieces of the collection, revisiting a classic model with sophisticated melange of materials. Furs are sometimes wore on laced dresses and always with heels: the woman is sublimated through any piece of the collection. Indeed, for the evening we can find astonishing laced and draped dresses, going from classic black to bright yellow or sensual burgundy. Playing with layers and transparency, the outfits unveil sometimes shoulder skin, covering the arms on all its length, sometimes the arms, compensate with high laced collars for an always sophisticated result.
