BACKSTAGE AT GAUCHERE FW23 BY ELISE TOÏDÉ

By Crash redaction

The looks of the GAUCHERE Fall-Winter 2023 collection once again focus on the awareness of the wearer and its true existence as a human being.
For the second time in a row, Marie-Christine Statz chose the atmosphere of the Passage des Jacobins as the ideal place to reflect the mood of the collection.
Different grays, shades of brown, cream and white, lots of black form the creative color code of this collection. Monochromatic looks are accompanied by a bright green print; Marie-Christine Statz extracted the motif from an untitled work painted by Camille Henrot.
This ongoing dialogue between the designer and the artist resulted in a collection filled with detail and vibrancy.

Once again within this GAUCHERE collection the love for the art of tailoring is shown. Geometric shapes and an appreciation for materials and detail are shown on the runway aiming for permanence and timelessness.
