BACKSTAGE AT JIL SANDER SPRING-SUMMER 2016 MENSWEAR MILAN

On this second day of Milan men’s Fashion Week, Rodolfo Paglialunga presented his Spring-Summer 2016 collection for Jil Sander. « Utilitarian » is definetely the adjective that came to mind when watching the models walk down the white runway decorated with silver poles that created asymmetrical lines. Technical fabrics were used profusely: parachute nylon is one example. Denim also made an appearance on some looks, and when it wasn’t raw, it was decorated with a multicolor undersea life print. Pockets were everywhere: square, rectangular, on the side, in diagonal, which stressed the utilitarian feeling. A focus on functionality that perfecty fits the Jil Sander DNA. / www.jilsander.com
