Summer often goes with a spirit of carefreeness, even for the most elegant woman there is. Indeed, Margaret Howell is feeling a more relaxed vibe this season, should we even say rebel. Twisting her polished aesthetic, the designer presented on the runway a series of short-sleeved shirts falling over a bare shoulder and with mismatching buttons. Kind of a statement of freedom, just like the audacity to wear woolen shorts under the iconic mackintosh. Skirts are overlaid by dark tulle for a more romantic effect, while the silhouette is often enhanced at the waist by fine leather belts. This season it seems, Margaret Howell is all about the attitude, the kind of attitude we like.
