DISCOVER PAUL SMITH’S FIRST UNISEX COLLECTION PRESENTED DURING PARIS MEN’S FASHION WEEK
This season, Paul Smith, seen as one of the Britain’s greatest designers, is consolidating his brand’s men’s and women’s collections and revealing a classy unisex collection. The fashion show in Paris is a real return to origins, as the designer presented his first show ever in the French capital in 1976. Indeed, Smith invited us to the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris – a strong symbol for a designer who is passionate about art in general. We noticed a grand return to English style in this collection, with checked patterns all around: on pants, coats, and blazer jackets, embroidered pull-overs, trench coats, pop turtleneck sweaters, and sailor coats. In addition, Paul Smith incorporates hobnailed leather perfectos, super masculine khaki parkas, and loose blouses printed with tropical animals. As usual, red plays a huge role in the collection with red tuxedos and trenches for men and a red pant for women. Men also enjoy snake skin boots and velvet blazers with touches of pop colors to keep things trendy and chic, without forgetting to have fun. Because life is complicated for both men and for women, Paul Smith’s Fall-Winter 2017/18 collection is a celebration of life: real happy life.
