REDEMPTION FALL WINTER 2016: A BACKSTAGE STORY
Opposites do attract. For his Redemption Fall Winter 2016 collection, Gabriele Moratti took inspiration from many different places, led by the heritage of Andy Warhol’s Factory. Everything is about mixing inspirations, a tendency that is at the heart of underground movements such as Warhol’s most famous institution. The clothes on the runway pretty much summed up this spirit: A-line dresses have that 60’s graphic elegance, while big furs definitely go more on the eccentric side. Fitted suits are taken from menswear but femininity is always around the corner with long dresses in crepe. Outerwear is a big deal in the collection: From the cashmere coats to suede trench coats to motorbike leather jackets, there’s an outer piece for every kind of woman.
