RICK OWENS MEN’S SS17: A BACKSTAGE STORY

Rick Owens is not one to follow any rule or trend. Showing his spring-summer 2017 menswear collection in Paris’ Palais de Tokyo, the designer further anchored himself as a true visionary. His silhouettes almost feel unfinished with soft fabrics intertwined in cascades of drapes. Legs are wide, and waist is high, which gives birth to an unprecedented silhouette that completely redefines a man’s proportions, and maybe that is the man of the future right here. Indeed, Rick Owens has always been one to push clothing beyond the its simple purpose, placing it in the sphere of ideology where it should be.
